Support paths
Account access
Sign in with the same Apple or Google account you used to create Ascend. Passwords and account recovery stay with that sign-in provider.
If the correct provider still does not restore your account, email support with the provider name and the error message. Do not send your password or verification code.
Subscription purchase or restore
- Start a new subscription from Ascend's in-app paywall.
- Restore an existing purchase from the paywall or Settings > Restore Purchases.
- Manage or cancel from Settings > Manage Subscription in Ascend, which opens your Apple Account subscription settings.
Deleting Ascend or your Ascend account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Apple handles App Store billing and refund requests through Report a Problem.
Headphones and step counting
Ascend counts your steps from the motion sensors in your AirPods or Beats. An Apple Watch or an iPhone in your pocket cannot count a climb, so a compatible pair is required to race.
If Ascend will not start a climb, connect the headphones to this iPhone, wear both sides, and allow Ascend's Motion & Fitness permission in iOS Settings > Apps > Ascend. The in-app compatible-headphones list shows every supported model.
Heart rate
For live heart rate and effort zones while you climb, open Settings > Edit Profile > Integrations > Heart Rate Monitor. Ascend connects to Bluetooth chest straps that use the standard Bluetooth Heart Rate service. Turn on Bluetooth, allow Ascend's Bluetooth permission, and disconnect the strap from any other app holding the connection.
An Apple Watch cannot stream live heart rate directly to Ascend. It can still supply heart rate after the fact: connect Apple Health in Settings > Edit Profile > Integrations > Apple Health and allow Ascend to read heart rate, and Ascend attaches what your watch, or any wearable that writes to Apple Health, recorded while you were climbing. Ascend does not import workouts from Apple Health.
Notifications
Open Settings > Notifications in Ascend to change climb-drop alerts. If iOS permission is off, open iOS Settings > Apps > Ascend > Notifications and allow the notification types you want.
Account deletion
Open Settings, scroll to Delete Account, and confirm deletion. For security, Ascend may ask you to sign in again.
If your subscription has lapsed and Ascend is held on the Open subscription options screen, use the Delete account link below Restore Purchases on that screen. Deletion never requires an active subscription.
If you cannot access the in-app deletion flow, email pavayt@gmail.com from the address tied to your account. We will verify ownership before acting.
Ascend is a racing and fitness app, not a medical service. Stop exercising and seek appropriate medical care if you experience pain, dizziness, chest pain, faintness, or another concerning symptom.
